DNA Surveillance is offered as a service to the scientific community by the Bioinformatics Institute of the University of Auckland.

While every effort hase been made by the system developers to ensure that procedures are correctly performed, and by taxon specialists that the reference datasets are based on correctly identified specimens, these parties make no claims that the results of analyses are correct. Users should treat any output with the same scepticism that they would show to any other scientific analysis.
